Flashing Wings
(vs. front, right step through punch)

Step forward with left leg into a left neutral bow with a left inward block, check/strike opponent’s right knee with your right knee. Your left hand becomes a high check as you shuffle into a forward bow with a right inward elbow to your opponent’s ribs and at the same time hook your opponent’s right eye with your left two finger inverted hook and rip backwards, follow this with a right outward elbow to his right kidney. Your right elbow will become a fulcrum as you execute a right outward hand sword or “elephant fist” (contouring hammer) strike to base of skull and lower neck. Pivot into a left reverse wide kneel to check the opponent’s right knee with your left and drop his height zone – as you execute this move, your left hand begins a clockwise motion through the top of you opponent’s outer rim zone, striking the base of his skull or his left ear with your heel palm as you complete the circular motion by checking his right arm into his body. Transition into a right inward kneel, checking the right knee again, with a right lifting heel palm to your opponent’s chin. (Some Kenpoists simply execute this last strike as a heel palm to the right cheek of the opponent.)
Shea’s Extensions
1. Continue with right hand circular motion into a right downward/outward strike to opponent’s right kidney (this will cause your opponent to straighten his upper body), repeat clockwise circular motion with left hand as you transition into a left inward kneel again checking his right knee and height zone, striking (again) the opponent’s base of skull or ear with left heel palm and check his right arm again into his body. Shift into a right inward kneel with right lifting heel palm to chin. Right rising rake (from behind) to opponent’s face, right crossover to 9:00 with a right hammer fist to base of skull, cover.
